Our Story
Sunday Swim is a distinctive luxury swimwear brand that encourages confidence and beauty that both LOOKS and FEELS good.
What started out as a conversation between our founder Jordan Bates and a good friend of hers by the pool in the Spring of 2024, turned into a fast and furious passion project of hers for the past year.
A Cape Cod native turned local Nashvillian, Jordan can’t turn down the opportunity to dream, hustle, and create.
In her own words, “One day I was sitting by my pool with some hometown friends that were visiting from Cape Cod. One of my friends complimented my bikini and I was like, ‘Thank you. I love unique swimwear– I’d love to have my own brand one day.’
And GULP. The seed was planted. I knew the second those words left my lips, first thing Monday morning I’d be sourcing swimwear, deciding on branding, fonts, logos, colors, designs.
And sure enough, I was.”
Truth be told, swimwear has always been a part of Jordan’s life. Growing up by the ocean, she developed a love and obsession with swimwear at a young age- Carefully selecting which swimsuits she’d wear on the boat, to the beach, and by the pool.

“Sunday Swim.”
Doesn't it just kind of just roll off of the tongue?
Besides being fun and sassy to say, Sunday Swim’s got a soul to her.
When we think of Sunday’s, we think of coffee in bed, a slow morning with the sunshine pouring in from the window. Around here, Sunday’s have a restful, graceful, kind of peace to them.
We really wanted to channel that effortless, sexy, beauty of a slow Sunday morning into Sunday Swim.
Cruising down Bass River, heading back to the dock on her family’s boat on a sunny Summer Sunday afternoon, was a source of inspiration for the name and feel of Sunday Swim for Jordan.
Her skin would be a particular shade of peachy brown sunkissed; her hair salty; her mind would be peaceful and content; the sun would effortlessly diminish beneath the horizon; and all was well with the world.
Jordan hopes to inspire a certain peace, confidence, elegance, and beauty that we find in Sunday’s in Sunday Swim.
Come along. Let’s ride this wave together.
